A few decades ago nobody would have ever thought about
cooking a steak in a frying-pan without flavouring it.
Then someone invented the PTFE, better known as Teflon®.
PTFE was a true revolution for several industries. It has
exceptional features, its extreme versatility make it a must in countless
applications, such as household tools, mechanical components, gaskets,
electronics, textile, footwear, insulating, lubricating and endless more.
PTFE can be found in several different formats, from thin
films to thick sheets, including rolls and ribbons.
Atom proposes several solutions to meet any PTFE cutting
need.
Oscillating-knife cutting tables: useful to cut Teflon®
of low and medium thickness. This machine line is the best choice for
prototyping, samples and small-medium production batches, especially when they
are composed by several different parts.
Waterjet cutting systems: speed, precision and
flexibility are the winning points of these machines.
Moving beam presses: they are especially useful when
cutting using big dies or multiple dies at once, in this case their throughput
is very high.
CNC beam presses: their ideal scenario of usage
involves high cutting volumes, the high speed and reliability allows to achieve
high quantities of cut pieces in short times. The automatic nesting procedures
can optimise the layouts to be cut, allowing materials savings and precise cost
and cutting time estimates.
Swing arm and movable trolley presses: good productivity with
limited investments. They can be conveniently used for small production batches.
Beam presses are especially advised to cut PTFE of low
thickness.
