The main feature of these machines is the mobile pressure
device, whose width covers the whole width of the material. This structure is
commonly known as "mobile beam".
When compared with trolley and swing arm presses they show a
quicker cutting cycle since there is no need to move the beam along the machine
width. Another advantage is the coincidence between cutting surface and beam,
so that it is possible to use huge dies, in theory as big as the cutting
surface.
For these reasons they are widely used when high cutting power is required
and/or huge dies are required. They can handle both single and multiple shape
dies, their power enables them to cut even multiple parts requiring high cutting
power at once.
The line-up includes models with power from 20 to 150 tons,
with different feeding systems optimised for several different jobs. All the
beam presses however share some common features:
-
Special design, with a single central piston. The single
piston solves several problems of the multiple pistons technology, in fact
our machines can grant perfect parallelism between the cutting surface and
the beam and a great uniformity in the cutting power distribution. These
features turns into greater cutting quality and precision.
-
3 different stop systems granting high penetration
precision for each kind of job.
* Automatic pressure setting: when changing die
height no settings are needed.
* Electric stop sensor: allows the usage of small
dies on high power machines, this system does not need any setting of
cutting power to match different die blade development.
* Mechanical stops with micrometric adjustment:
available for models with power beyond 50 tons, they grant perfect control over blade penetration.
