Automatic splitting machines are the perfect solution to
support the flexibility needs of modern footwear and leather goods producers
whenever high productivity and management of different materials (or
materials needing different machine settings) are a must. In these cases
it is extremely important to use a machine able to automatically manage
splitting settings in order to speed up operations.
Atom proposes the model KS-A
It is equipped with special long-life grinding ABN Borazon (diamonds) weels, single command
sharpening and tuneable support in order to optimise the stop. Systems to
compensate the consumption of the blade and of the blade driving system, the
quick blade change, fixed and rotating foot, material vacuum,
sharpening dust vacuum complete the technical features of this machine.
It is suitable to be equipped with an electronic thicknessdetector as well as a special foot for splitting of
non-sliding materials, such as patent leather.
Splitting machines model
KS 370 A CE / KS 420 A CE / KS 520 A CE: they are the most evolved
solutions in Atom splitting machines line-up. They grant an high automation
degree and high-end performances. The models differ just as regards the
maximum material width, respectively of 370,
420 e 520
mm.
These models have a speed control based upon an
Inverter, which allows a very flexible speed control, therefore allowing
higher control over splitting speed. This allows better quality in the
splitting and a wider range of spittable materials as well as the best results in operations with negatives - matrix
The flexible and complete control system allows to store up
to 99 different programs and can automatically handle the program change to
follow a defined production sequence. Atom is aware of the needs of
production premises, for example we noticed that often splitting machines
are shared between production and design departments. Sometimes it is
necessary to suspend the production program to set different parameters
needed by designers. On most machines this implies a relevant idle time
because to handle this sudden change and restore the normal production
several tricks are needed, none of them able to grant sufficient speed.
This does not happen using Atom splitting machines, we
do handle effectively this situation since we introduced a function to
suspend temporarily any program, start a different one and then immediately
restore the previous situation. All this with a few button presses.
Moreover the machines always performs a self monitoring
of main operating parameters and suggests to the operator changes in the
parameters that can optimise the quality of the results.
To make maintenance faster and simpler the control
software keeps under control all the critical parameters informing
immediately the operator about any failure and suggesting recovering
procedures. A typical example is the detection of material stick on a
roll: the machine informs the operator and helps in spotting out where
exactly the problem arises. The machine status is always monitored
and data is stored in the internal database and analyzed by the control
software so that periodical maintenance operations can be suggested
and technicians can be greatly helped in finding quickly the cause of any
failure, granting thus a focused action and quick solution.
The
electronic thickness detector is a strongly suggested optional device
for automatic splitting machines. It digitally measures the thickness of any
part spit and informs the machine about the actual value. Doing so the
machine can adjust automatically its settings to match actual thickness
with the requested one. Ease of use turned into precision!
