Atom produces the automatic skiving machine model
GL12 M8. It is microprocessor-controlled. enabling it to store hundred
of different skiving programs and to switch between them with
a few simple commands.
This machine is built to be absolutely reliable and easy
to be used. It is very simple and quick to store up to 99 skiving
programs, each of them can contain up to 10 different skiving schemas.
Our system allows even inexperienced operators to program
the machine, it is sufficient to set manually the machine as if it were a
traditional machine and then store the program.
All the operations are driven by a clear interface on
the machine monitor, where it is possible to see a drawing of any stored
program.
The operator has just to select the program related to the
parts to be skived, the machine will automatically handle the skiving
stages accordingly with the program previously set and will modify
automatically all the settings for the parts needed in the selected program
in order to speed up the job.
The system automatically sets also the slope of the foot
so in order to keep a constant skiving width, independently from
material thickness.
The monitor and control buttons ergonomics are a real
help for productivity: all commands are clearly indicated on the buttons
using simple symbols and the monitor shows clear information
about the selected program.
Besides the advantages of the servo-commands this machine
has other relevant features:

A very effective and noiseless vacuum system and the
micro-filter granting better air quality.

Knife shaft mounted on bearings, featuring special anti-dust
protection guards;

newly designed command device of the foot and of
guide for a quicker positioning;

Uses a long-life Borazon long life grinding weels allowing to really keep the blade optimally sharpened;

uses a rotating foot to skive extremely difficult
materials such as heavy materials, water proof, patent leather
