 | Atom and MSC Join Forces to Develop the Market for Industrial Applications
ATOM Spa and MSC are pleased to announce the establishment of “Atom-MSC USA”, a joint venture that will represent the common vehicle of collaboration for servicing the US market.
Atom-MSC USA will offer US customers the opportunity to leverage on the direct presence of Atom side by side with MSC in the US territory to support its commercial offers.
“Customers in the converting industries who wish direct contact with both the manufacturer and the distributor for specific applications – commented Dan Goellner, Director of Atom-MSC USA - can now have full access to the source of technological solutions, improving their ability to fully appraise and evaluate their options for investments in flexible, innovative production systems”.

Atom-MSC USA will be operating from its premises in Earth City (MO), taking advantage of the sales and service network of MSC all over the US territory.
ATOM was established in 1946 and since then it has been designing, producing and distributing cutting systems for industrial applications. More than 150,000 cutting machines of all kinds are installed worldwide. Around 500 machines per month are manufactured at its factories and at its headquarters in Vigevano, Italy and the aggregated turnover is in excess of 65 million US$ per annum.
Manufacturers Supplies Company (“MSC”) has been a leading supplier to industrial customers in US and North America since 1907. MSC is headquartered in Earth City, MO with strategic sales and service locations throughout the United States. MSC specializes in complete sales and service for the full range of ATOM converting systems.
We are confident this new collaboration between ATOM and MSC will greatly enhance our ability to serve the entire ATOM customer base throughout North America.

ATOM SpA is pleased to announce that it has purchased the technology assets and intellectual property relating to the products designed and produced by EXACT TECHNOLOGY LTD of Northampton UK. ( CAD/CAM CUTTING SYSTEMS, SAMPLE MAKERS, FLAT-BED CUTTING MACHINES AND PLOTTERS ) .
ATOM was established in 1946 and since then it has been designing, producing and distributing cutting systems for industrial applications. More than 150,000 cutting machines of all kinds are installed worldwide. ATOM has a worldwide presence through its network of branch offices and distributors, with the headquarters in Vigevano, Italy and direct subsidiaries in China, Brazil, Germany, France, Spain.
EXACT TECHNOLOGY has installed in excess of 1200 machines in 36 countries. These installations embrace many industries – technical textiles, composite structures, printing / packaging, engineering, gaskets, electronic components, leather etc.
A new company has been formed to handle the sales and service of the full range of both EXACT and Atom products. ATOM UK is located in Rushden, Northamptonshire. The UK operation also merged with the business of JOHN HOWE SERVICES, and John and his team will continue to support the Atom Italy products.
Thanks to the full complementarity of products within the ATOM and EXACT ranges, the combination of the offering is now able to offer solutions for nearly every cutting application.
ATOM will take responsibility for the support of the installed based of EXACT products. Only ATOM Group, or its approved distributors, is the approved source of genuine parts and consumables. It has been brought to our attention that some non-approved service and components are being supplied by third-party organisations and this may result in premature failure of the equipment. In particular, support of the electronic control system is only available via ATOM; this includes diagnostics, spare parts and exchange units.
Key members of the EXACT management team have been integrated into ATOM include Peter Miller (Sales), Warren Thompson (Technical Sales) and Richard Benad (Production / Service co-ordination). Peter Miller will supervise worldwide sales and marketing activities for the EXACT product range, while John Howe will be responsible for ATOM UK, with Massimo Tinelli representing the parent company on the Board of Directors.

Tool used for the milling of: foam, light and thin metals (i.e. aluminium) and alloys (copper and brass), polymers and acrylics. It can be used instead of the knife chuck on the heads, or assembled together with the knife chuck in a special head, available on all the ATOM Flashcut families.
